A gentle, nurturing practice to stretch out the body, relieve aching muscles and encourage ultimate release and relaxation after a day out on the slopes.
Your Teachers - Polly
Although she's been skiing and practising yoga for many years, Polly ran her first official "snowga" - ski, yoga - retreat last year and just loved every minute of it.
Everyone who joined agreed that the combination of yoga and skiing (or snowboarding) is an absolute winner and Polly made sure that the classes were always tailored to alleviate any aches and pains the group had. Giving the body a proper chance to do a full warm-up and cool-down meant that everyone could spend more time enjoying themselves on the slopes and round the dinner table.
Your Teachers - Eleri
Eleri first fell in love with Yoga as an 11 year old. Since then it has been an integral part of her life.
In her early 20’s she spent a number of years as a Seasonaire in Les Arcs. Spending hours everyday skiing for months on end helped her appreciate how just how beneficial yoga is; not only as a way of preventing injury but also in improving her skills as a skier. Upon completing her 200hr training with Frog Lotus international her first job as a yoga instructor was at the British Ski academy in Les Houches, introducing young athletes to yoga.

The practice of yoga has helped her grow stronger, more flexible and fearless, both on and off the mat; something she aims to pass on to all of her students. Her classes are powerful, playful and heartfelt, deepening your practice and helping you step off the mat feeling refreshed, nourished and balanced.
The Accommodation
Chalet Sterwen, is located in the picturesque Tarentaise Valley in a pretty hamlet near Les Arcs. It is a beautiful, cosy eco chalet converted from a charming seventeenth century farmhouse which mixes rustic design with modern comforts. The yoga studio offers beautiful alpine views to refresh and inspire the mind and a lovely roaring eco-fire.
The Skiing
The chalet is in a fantastic location, in the middle of Paradiski - an incredible ski region with 425km of slopes and 3 wonderful areas to explore: Les Arcs, La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry. Perfect for everyone from beginners to experts, you'll find plenty to satisfy the adventurer in you. If you would prefer there is also Nordic skiing, snow-shoeing and hiking available nearby.
For ski hire these guys are brilliant. If you pre-book what you want they will come to the chalet on the first night and get us all kitted out for day one. For options, prices and to book visit:

You can get two types of ski pass – either one for the local area (which is still huge and amazing!) for £240.00 or one for the extended area for £270.00. We are a mixed ability group so you can choose to ski with whoever suits, take lessons or head out on your own adventure. Often we meet up for lunch to catch up on all the fun.
The Food
After leaving her hometown Nairobi, Kenya and many travels later Jessica has worked in many cultures, this has inspired her cooking through traditional methods, different flavours and ingredients. She cooks wholesomely with a mindful approach where nutritional value has become as important as the tastes and sensations. She'll serve up an abundance of colourful and nutritious food - a mix of mainly vegetarian, with fish and meat being served on a couple of the nights. There's always an abundance so guarantee you will not go hungry!
Every day you'll have a buffet breakfast and hot served options before skiing, yummy cake for afternoon tea when you come in off the slopes and a three course plated dinner. One night we'll all head out for supper so Jess can have a night away from the stove. Her passion is infectious so no doubt you will go home inspired and with several new recipes!

The week of yoga and skiing in Les Arcs was fantastic. I was a bit apprehensive as I was going on my own and had never taken one of Polly’s yoga classes but by the end of the day of arrival I knew I had made a great choice. The chalet was well run and warm, Ceri’s food was delicious and there was lots of it, and the group was fun and easy to get on with. Everyone was looked after skiing and snowboarding - which was great for me as I’m not a confident skier - and the yoga was pitched perfectly so as to warm up for skiing and stretch out afterwards. I’d love to go again and would definitely book other retreats with Polly. She’s a great teacher as well as kind and funny and she really cares for her guests.
